Week 7!

Welcome back predictors. Lets get straight into it.

New Boys Top and Tail it

Picture
Tom Wilson stormed the front door cock in hand and pissed on the authority that was previously League 1. He made light work of his competitors in his debut week. Meanwhile Calum pissed on himself as he found either the heights of League 1 dizzying, or entering two weeks in a row mortifying, its a long stretch so one week at a time Cal. In between the poles had the world of League 1 as we know it. Sabah scoring well, Marvin scoring average but matching Paul, which Marvin can count as a badge of honour nowadays. Alizah slowly waking up from her 6 week hangover. Expect more from her in up and coming weeks, another slumber will see her in League 2. Tom went toe to toe with Sabah.

Ohh Tony tony!

Picture
Two straight wins for Mr Saunders. Relegation has sparked Mark back in to life, but just not enough on this occasion. Harri came third, Rick and Richard scored moderately well in their new League, not enough to upset the balance though. Chris's early form is quickly becoming myth. Richard handed his slip late, and picked up no points for the early Saturday kick off. Not that we didn't believe his 3-1 Man City Everton prediction. "Where's Maz when you need him?" Folu must be thinking. This week she did her worst, memories of last season appear to be back to haunt her.

Taking the nick

Picture
It's no longer lonely at the top for Rick Hughes. Nicky Davison has matched the current top score for the season. Take a boo son! We honestly didn't think that would be happening any time soon. Andy Halman continues his fine vein of form. He took a few weeks to get settled but he is a force to be reckoned with now. Sam Alexander stays top overall with another consistent score, he's not making it easy for any one this is a seriously competitive League. Tony Paolozzi scores 9! which is still technically 6! Depending on which way you look at it ;). Either way, remarkable stuff from Tony.

Zero to Hero

Picture
We had a feeling Ajani was going to turn it around when he put in a bold Sunderland 2-1 Man Utd prediction. And he nearly grabbed the result were it not for Adnan Januzaj. Turn it around he certainly did. We will not allow the rest of League 4 not turning up to besmirch his victory either! Matthew pushed him close. Steven just off the pace.

new league: one winner: one man: Gordon ewing

Picture
2nd Highest top score overall is not a bad way to enter the predictions. And had it not been for a record matching score. All the plaudits would be reserved for Gordon. Consistency is the name of the game so keep it up! Decent scores all round in League 5 as our new boys put some of the seasoned predictors to shame.

We shall get League 5 filled by the next set of predictions in a fortnight.

The next Promotions and relegations battle will be at the end of November. We feel every two months is a fairer reflection of competition.
Here is how it stands...
This is also up on the home page at all times if you wish to have a quick look.

Tom takes his form into League 1 and suddenly Sabah isn't looking so hot. Tom is right there on her heels. Calum's poor showing didn't hurt him too much, he walks in at 4th spot, if he can have a solid next few rounds he will be right up there. Marvin and Alizah are favourites to go down unless they pull some top scores out soon.

Rick is narrowly ahead, but there's nothing really in it as Tony and Bren can overtake him. Folu's poor form dropped her right off the pace.

It's a four horse relegation fight in League 2.

Sam Alexander keeps impressing, Nicky's big week puts him in 2nd place. Early form blights Andy's average, but he is knocking on the door.

Leagues 4 and 5 is still too early to comment on.
